In Spanish, "mariposa" means butterfly. Inspired by the southwest, the Mariposa Cabin offers a tasteful blend of mountain rustic and santa-fe style. Colorful stained glass windows based on a Navajo rug design filter the sunshine in both the bedroom and front room, framing the kiva fireplace accented with Spanish tiles. The rustico pine king-size bed is topped with a down comforter and woven blanket, and the bathroom features a two-person jetted tub and shower with Spanish tile accents and a Mexican painted sink. Through the pocket door is the front room with a soft leather chair and patterned sofa for sitting in front of the fireplace, a leather-topped table and chairs for two, and a kitchenette with dishes, glassware and utensils, microwave, refrigerator and sink. The main lodge is a short walk from your private porch to breakfast, or you may request a breakfast basket to be delivered to your cabin. Suitable for one additional guest to stay on the twin sleeper sofa.
